Please click the title of this post or "read more" to continue... On May 23, 2019, a minor earthquake swarm broke out just barely to the north of Yellowstone Lake. May 23, 2019 swarm Start of swarm: 10:06UTC End of swarm: 11:17UTC Total earthquake count (includes even the tiniest, unreported events): No more than 45 micro-quakes, many being extremely tiny. Reported count: 7 Largest reported earthquake of this swarm: M2.5 at 4.9km depth Largest amplitude: ~70,400 (B208-EHZ), ~19,500 (YML-EHZ) Severity: Minor As usual, I will not detail every single event in the plots below. However I will try to detail most of them. About 5 1/2 hours or so after this swarm at Yellowstone Lake, two small events struck just west of West Yellowstone, MT. They both only received 1 felt report and the event pages and plots are shown below.
