Start of swarm: 5:02UTC
End of swarm: 7:28UTC
Note: This swarm occurred in between West Thumb Lake and Yellowstone Lake. This swarm occurred closest to seismic station B208 in the PB network so that is the station I will use for the following plots. Please note that there were many more earthquakes prior to and after the time period stated directly above. However, since I am trying to save on space and time, I will focus on the main burst of swarming which of course occurred within the time frame stated directly above. Also please note that the estimated count of earthquakes, stated directly below, is open to additional interpretation. It was hard to determine exactly how many there were especially with how closely spaced some of the events were. Also, the estimated earthquake count below is ONLY for the time period stated above. Remember you can always download the data and analyze these events yourself! After all, that is one of my goals in doing what I do! To teach others what I have learned.
Total earthquake count (includes even the tiniest events): ~330
Reported count: 17
Magnitudes/Depths of reported events for this swarm from newest to oldest (showing magnitude/depth): Please click the “CLICK HERE” button for the USGS EQ list. This will show all of the earthquakes.
Largest reported earthquake(s) of this swarm: M2.5 at 4.5km Depth
Largest amplitude: ~32,800 (YLT), ~26,250 (B944)

Severity: Moderate-Major
# of 3-plot images: 30
