Seismic Monitoring of Volcanic & Tectonic Hazard Areas
HEADS UP: I am still actively learning seismology. Some of my interpretations on this website are open to additional criticism and interpretation. Many pages of my website are currently in the process of being updated. Regardless, they will still be available during the updates.
Hello guys! Welcome to my website, monitorseis.net! This actually is the first website I have put any effort into so it will always be updated with new pages, new data, new information, and many other things. I like constructive criticism (keyword there is "constructive") and suggest you email me at email@example.com for any criticism, suggestions, or comments. The "How to..." dropdown menu is extremely important and can teach you how to find, access, and analyze seismic and GPS data. This website has a good amount of information so please check out every page. You never know what you may find!
The main data I put out are seismogram/waveform plots, spectrogram plots, spectra plots, and helicorder plots detailing many, many swarms and events. There is most likely over a thousand of those plots on this website already. Every single plot you see was generated by myself using seismic data from IRIS, and other data centers, and the program SWARM, unless otherwise stated. Remember I am not a professional yet. My current aim is to go to school to become a seismologist/volcanologist. I have learned a great deal but still have barely scratched the surface of seismology. This started as a hobby and slowly made its way to becoming a passion of mine. It is now the main thing I do on my free time, besides family time.
So, I hope you enjoy!
